caring instruction
- Clean gently: For silk, georgette or other delicate sarees — use mild detergent with cold water. Wash by hand, do not machine wash. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.
- Dry carefully: Always air-dry the saree in the shade — never under direct sunlight. Let it dry flat or on a soft surface to preserve shape and color.
- Iron with care: Use a low-heat setting, preferably on the reverse side, and place a thin cloth between the iron and saree to protect fabric and embellishments.
- Store properly: Wrap sarees in cotton or muslin cloth or breathable bags — never plastic. Store in a cool, dry place. Periodically refold to avoid permanent creases.
- Protect from damage: Avoid spraying perfumes, deodorants or hairsprays directly on the saree, and try not to wear sharp jewelry that might snag the fabric.
- Limit washing frequency: Frequent washing can weaken delicate fabrics — if possible, air out and freshen sarees instead of washing them after every wear.
